Please see a short excerpt of the article below, if you’d like to read the full story it’s available here.
Littlehampton care home residents felt like royalty when they took part in a Golden Glow Up session with Zippidoodah Zoe.
Registered manager Annie Lewis said it was a wonderful afternoon at St Winefrides Care Home, in St Winefrides Road.
Annie added:
“There is something truly magical about seeing someone light up when they feel special. The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, stories and moments of genuine joy as residents stepped in front of the camera to become royalty for the afternoon. We had the pleasure of Zippidoodah Zoe running Golden Glow Up. It is more than a photoshoot – it’s an experience designed to celebrate confidence, individuality and the beauty that comes with every stage of life.
Residents were invited to become a queen or king for the afternoon, choosing from a selection of elegant gowns, regal capes and beautiful props. Everything had been carefully chosen to be comfortable and easy to wear, with pieces that simply drape over the shoulders, making the experience accessible and stress-free.
The transformation is often immediate. As soon as the gowns go on and the crowns are placed, backs straighten, smiles appear and personalities shine. It’s wonderful to watch residents embrace the moment, laugh together and enjoy being the centre of attention.
Each resident enjoyed a relaxed 20-minute photography session, with plenty of time to chat, have fun and capture a collection of beautiful portraits. There was no rush – just an opportunity to celebrate who they are.”
